General Information
Course Cost: $1295.00 Class Duration: 3 Day(s)
Start Date: 05/17/2010 End Date: 05/19/2010
For Civil Engineers, Surveyors and Land Planners Autodesk Land Desktop is the AutoCAD of choice. In this class students will work with point data, annotate lines, curves and spirals, work with alignments and parcels. Additionally they will create and manage surfaces and tins, calculate volumes, generate contours, perform site analysis and calculate watershed information.
Students MUST have a solid, working knowledge of AutoCAD and some knowledge or experience of Autodesk Map and/or Civil Engineering principles would be helpful.
Course Outline
Our training guide introduces the application and teaches users the tools to create standardized civil engineering, drafting, and GIS projects. The training enables students to complete transportation, site, sewer, storm drain, and subdivision projects quickly, while using the tools to dynamically link and generate automatic design updates, which reduce costly errors. What's New in 2009? A new optional training module has been added, which teaches users how to share data between team members using data shortcuts or Vault. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
• Import data through AutoCAD LandXML and from an Autodesk Land Desktop Project
• Create and manage Points and Point Groups
• Create, edit, view, and analyze surfaces
• Create parcels and parcel tables
• Create sites, create and edit alignments, and create profiles and cross-sections
• Create assemblies, corridors, and cross-sections, and calculate corridor volumes
• Create complex grading solutions
• Create complex grading solutions
Prerequisites: Prior experience using AutoCAD or AutoCAD-based products such as Autodesk Land Desktop, is recommended.
